“Andamento For this lesson, we're gonna be doing andamento, which is where we really get into the essence of what mosaic is. I'm gonna be using the porcelain for this, just because we're not really worried about the colour, we just want to see the style the mosaic is being made in, so it will show up nicely on this black card. One thing I would just say before we get started is I'm gonna start cutting away from the mosaic, because generally speaking, while you're making your mosaic, you don't want to cut over the top because you get all the debris dropping onto your mosaic. After studying at the three top art schools in London (Camberwell, St Martins, and Hornsey), he went on to create large scale painted murals. After being asked by a client to create a mosaic in 1990, it unknowingly changed the course of his career.
Since then, he has completed many large scale mosaic commissions around the world. His work has received recognition from organizations like The National Terrazzo & Mosaic Association of America, The Society of American Mosaic Artists, The Prix Picassiette in Chartres, France, and The Worshipful Company of Tylers and Bricklayers in the UK.
