“Hello, my name is Gary Drossel. I'm a professional mosaic and public artists. I've been doing that for well over 30 years. based in my studio in London. I was born in the working class area of Woolwich in South East London. My father was a dock worker and trade union activist. After studying at the three top art schools in London (Camberwell, St Martins, and Hornsey), he went on to create large scale painted murals. After being asked by a client to create a mosaic in 1990, it unknowingly changed the course of his career.
Since then, he has completed many large scale mosaic commissions around the world. His work has received recognition from organizations like The National Terrazzo & Mosaic Association of America, The Society of American Mosaic Artists, The Prix Picassiette in Chartres, France, and The Worshipful Company of Tylers and Bricklayers in the UK.
