TikTok Strategy for Beginners
“Congratulations! You’ve reached the end of this course! Now you have a broad understanding of how to design a content strategy for your TikTok profile or any brand you work for. Before I leave you with your final project, I want to remind you of some essential concepts and give you some tips to make the best of your strategy in TikTok. To get inspiration, look at what other creators and competitors are doing on the app. Check out their profiles, read their comments, and watch their content. Be aware of the results for your own strategy work might vary due to many factors, but keep trying, exploring, and playing with the tools and your audience will tell you what works. Always have the algorithm in mind. Think of the positive algorithm signals to avoid negative results when you develop ideas, create your content and post your TikToks. Don’t forget to use TikTok as a user! Remember to also pay attention to your audience’s interests and bring them to the platform from other social media profiles you might already have, such as Instagram. Keep the conversation alive! But be aware that, like any other social platform, trolls might show up. My recommendation is usually to ignore these, however, if it gets out of hand, reporting and blocking on TikTok anything that doesn’t fall into their community guidelines is a good next step. When making your content, think about doing this in batches to be more efficient. This way, you can save them as drafts in your account to post on a later date. Give yourself structure and commit to your plan by creating a content calendar. This will help you map out everything clearly. Using scheduling tools will allow you to schedule up, and it could also help you not to miss any posts. I hope you’ve enjoyed the course. Don’t forget to upload your project, I’ll be giving you feedback. I also highly recommend you to participate in the forum, comment on others’ work, and interact with the community. You will be amazed by the inputs you will get from other creators. See you soon!”
