“Adjust Spacing In the last lesson, we worked on creating your vector logo. In this lesson, we'll work on adjusting the spacing to get it right. Let's get to it. I talked about how I wasn't excited about this particular lettering. It felt too messy to me, so I spent some time cleaning it up a bit. I fixed some of the points and the wild edges. I spent some time retracing and trying to find the right balance to get the cleanest shape, but for me it still wasn't where I wanted it to be. I fixed the typo here. We wanted to make it pluralized, so I added that. I did a little work to make this a ...”

Jon Contino is a graphic designer, illustrator, and creative director of CONTINO branding studio from New York City. He first discovered his passion for graphic design and illustration when he was a teenager in a rock band, and realized that banks needed demo covers, t-shirt, and flyer designs. Throughout his university career, he reached out to local businesses for graphic design services. By the time he finished university, he had a full portfolio, which led him to create his own design studio.
Through his branding studio, he has produced award-winning work for household names like Hulu, Google, AT&T, Coca-Cola, and Nike. In 2018, Jon published his first book, Brand by Hand, in partnership with Abrams Books. At the heart of his work, his aim is to create original designs by hand and develop a brand’s visual language with a human touch.
