About the final project for: Hand-Drawn Branding: Design Original Logos

Hand-Drawn Branding: Design Original Graphics

“You have reached the end of the course! Congratulations! I hope after it you feel more confident to build by hand a whole visual identity. It is been a pleasure for me to share with you my journey, my tools, and everything I've learned along the way when it comes to branding. Before saying goodbye I'd like to do a quick recap of the steps you'll need to take to finish your final project. Decide on the type of brand you want to develop. Research the industry you’ll be working in, take note of what’s out there, and start pulling inspirational imagery as a way to start building an aesthetic for your project. Start drawing logos. Explore doodles, develop your favorites and then ink them to be digitized.

Once your logo is digitized and vectorized, start playing with colors, fonts, icons, illustrations, and other related elements to help flesh out the visual personality of your brand.
Once you’ve figured out a good visual characterization of your brand identity, apply the work to related mocks to see how the brand looks in a real-life context, and make sure to take notes of the rules you’re following in a brief brand guideline document so that you know how to continue working when you have to develop it further in the future. Also, you can work on some additional illustrations for creating deeper imagery.
And that's it from me, remember I'm going to be answering your questions on the forum so please share your doubts, your advances, and progress. Don't hesitate to give feedback to your peers, conversation fuels creativity. I'll be eager to see what you've made, it will be great if in your final project you also share the making of, it is extra helpful for everybody. See you! ”

Don't follow all the rules, but let it help you along the way. Now I'd love to give you a few tips that'll help you to create your brand. At the beginning of the process, one of the best things I think about that you can remember is when you're doodling, doing research and putting your mood boards together, let that process breathe. Let it run its course. Don't feel the need to stop that at any point. If you need t...”
