About the video: What will we do in the course?

Overview

“In this course we will take an already defined concept art of a creature and we will model it in ZBrush. I have chosen a concept of a creature from the video game Doom Eternal , but the choice of reference is free. Anyway, it is advisable that this reference resembles mine (that it has a humanoid shape, bipeda, etc.), so that you can more easily apply what I will explain during the course. We will start by doing a blockout of the volumes so that it resembles the character. Later, we will work more in depth on the different parts of the body and add details. Once we have finished with all the detail work, we will define the pose of our character and export it to Keyshot, where we will make a small lighting to render it. ”

In this video lesson Manu Herrador addresses the topic: What will we do in the course?, which is part of the Domestika online course: Sculpting in ZBrush: From Concept Art to the Final Creature. Learn the ideal work methodology to sculpt a character from concept art.

First we will Blockout the character, giving the volumes and the shape of the creature. Then we will go on to make the fine detail. Once we have the character done, we will give him a p...”
