“ Cutting the Joints To recap, we want to make sure that we've marked on the shoulder lines, we've marked on our mitres, and we've marked on the tails, front and back, and the ends of the board. Once those are in place, we can go ahead and cut them out. Now, I'll saw out the dovetails. We are leaning the work over so that the cut line that we're working to will be vertical and therefore easier to saw. Finally, the last two cuts that are part of the mitre are vertical.
