“ Fitting the Lid Now that we've shaped the thumb lift, we can go ahead and cut out the recess in the front of the box. With the lid in place, I'll draw around the tab. I'll take my marking gauge and gauge slightly deeper than the thickness of the tab at the point that it goes into the recess. I will take this point here and maybe recess this or set this marking gauge 1 mm lower than the actual thickness. I'll bring down these lines here. Because the lid is tapered, so it's thicker back here, I'll set the distance from the top edge of the box to where the back of this recess will finish. Ma...”
