“ Surface Preparation and Assembly Now that we have finished the joinery and the grooves, we are ready to do the surface preparation for the inside of the box before we glue up. On the table, I have the four parts that make up the box side and the box base. I've also got some sanding materials, so 100 grit, 180 grit, and 240-grit sandpapers. I have a sanding block. I have some acrylic sanding sealer. A pot of microcrystalline wax or paste wax. For the glueing portion, we've got the glue and the glue brush. I should be using a foam brush to apply acrylic.
