“As with the lighting mannequin we did earlier, the light is coming from behind the character. So I'm trying to reduce the character in my mind anyway, his head. His shoulders, all the forms that are going to be hit by this light. down to their simplest form. I'm trying to hit them so that I can use this light not only to create drama, but also to show those three-dimensional shapes. So at the side of the head, for example, I have to try and move my vision away from where the camera is at the moment and try and see the true roundness of this object and think, where would the light be hitting...”

Growing up in a family of teachers and engineers meant that art wasn’t initially something he considered a career. He was able to focus on his creativity during high school though and discovered concept art, specifically at Einar Granum School for Arts and Crafts.
After graduating, he worked at Volta studio for three years, before moving to Prague to focus on freelance projects. He later landed his dream job working for Blizzard in California. Even has worked with various studios on titles including Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, and also shares his work with over 300K followers on Instagram.
