About the final project for: Creative Direction and Styling for Food Brands

Creative Direction and Styling for Food Brands

“Here’s where I leave you. Thank you so much for taking my course! It is now time to start working on your project. This could mean finishing the photoshoot you started while completing the exercises or you could start a brand new project! Remember to take your time, get inspired by the brand and product you’re working with. Make sure to keep track of your progress with different pictures of each step. It'd be great if you could also explain the choices you've made along the way and tell us if you have any doubts. This will help me understand your creative process and guide you better if you need advice. Here are the main steps you need to follow to complete your project: Choose a food product you want to present as a mini social media campaign.

Using their brand personality and identity as inspiration, come up with a story/narrative for your campaign, then decide on the visual identity of the product, including color palette and set design.
Make a mood board and write a brief describing the product, the goal of the campaign, the target audience, and the look and feel of the campaign. You should also explain how these images will create interest in the brand/product/idea. Decide the type of imagery you will create (still life, process, beauty, lifestyle, art) and share your mood board with the photographer.
Shop for your food and props, then assemble your tools and prepare your food for the camera. Finally, style and take your pictures!
I can’t wait to see what you create for this project! Don’t forget to share it on the forum by clicking on the "Create your project" button. I’ll be checking in from time to time to look at your posts and answer your questions, but the forum is also an amazing opportunity to give and receive feedback from fellow creatives. Get involved with your peers! See you on the forum. Bye!”

“ Final Project Here's where I leave you, and thanks so much for taking my course. I can't wait to see what you create in your final project. Remember, take your time, get inspired by the brand and product you're working with. Tell an authentic story that people connect with on an emotional level. Be bold and fearless and follow your intuition. Even though we worked with one client, I gave you tools. If you use all the information I gave you, especially the elements and principles of design, you'll be able to create images for any client in this world. Stay organized. Stay on top of things....”
