About the final project for: Designing the Visual Identity of a Brand

Designing the Visual Identity of a Brand

“After the advice that I have given you in the video, now I am going to review the different phases to follow to develop the final project. I have done it for a Latin dance school. You can do it for any other brand and even for your own business. Project preparation The first step is to use a brief and analyze the characteristics of the brand and its competition to get to know it in-depth and see what differentiates it from the others. So you can also define their personality and apply this to the subsequent design.

Next, we have to conceptualize. As we saw in Unit 3, make a concept map to obtain base concepts that will serve as an idea for the entire project.
Finally, find and collect visual references on a mood board that illustrate everything you have previously devised. It will serve as a guide and reference during later steps.
Logo creation Follow the steps we saw in Unit 4 to develop your logo design, from the sketch to the final result.
Creation of the graph Next, design the graphic universe of your brand by vectorizing images.
Final art With your graphic universe designed, you can now work on the final designs, including the logo you have designed.
Applications Now is the time to adapt your design to different formats, as we saw in Unit 5. We have it!
Now share your final project with all of us by clicking on "Create your project". Remember to share both the final result of your work and the steps that have led you to it. It would be great if you showed an image of each step and added a little text explaining what you have done in each one. So I can give you feedback. On the other hand, if in addition to the Domestika community, you want to share your creation with everyone, you can upload photos of them to Instagram with the hashtag #GabrielSencilloDomestika Finally, I want to invite you to actively participate in the forum, both by sharing your progress and commenting constructively on the work of others, so that we will help each other a lot. I will try to spend as much time as possible giving advice and resolve doubts.”

“Final project We reached the end of the Domestika course. Before saying goodbye, we will review what we have seen. First I told you about myself, I showed you some of my projects. And we saw some references that have influenced my work. I explained to you why a brand is much more than a logo. We analyze all the elements of a brand identity. And we saw different types of graphic universes. Later, I presented my conceptualized project to you. And we created mood boards that defined our creative path. Then we design our logo. We choose our font. And we create a graphic universe through image v...”
