One of the things to keep in mind as you're mixing your complementary color strip is that you are mixing more parts of each color evenly. For example, when I go to the middle of this strip, I'll be using 50% of each of the colors plus more white and more Burnt Umber as I get to the middle. I'll do the next step. I'll mix in a bit more of the Burnt Umber and a bit more of the violet. I use Titanium White even though it may not seem intuitive.
