“The First Layer or Background In this lesson, we'll start our painting. We'll use the notes that we've made and paint our first layer or our background. We want to paint our painting in a round shape and we don't have to guess when we're doing this. We can grab anything that is approximately the right size. In this case, I have a tin lid that I'll draw around for the basic shape of my painting. This will just help me keep it in a nice tidy shape. For the first layer, we're painting our background. This will include our waterfall down the center and then we'll have these trees on either side...”
