“Refining Shapes In the previous lesson, we combined the bust with the neck and head. In this lesson, we'll continue modeling onto these core forms. I'd like you to visualize this technique as involving a progression that starts with a core or a basic shape and gradually moves onto the layer of skin. In order to develop these forms further, I'll apply small amounts of clay and use my rakes to really bring some of those shapes into focus and further articulate the topography of the upper body and the face.
