“Making Clay Slabs In the previous lesson, we talked about preparing our patterns. In this lesson, we'll talk about making our slabs and cutting our shapes. In order to make your slab, you'll start by trimming... a section from your clay block. In order to make our slabs, I'm taking my wire tool and running it across my clay block to create small slabs of about an inch to an inch and a half in thickness. Next, I am going to unify two of these by pressing them onto each other. The clay is quite soft, so there's no need to slip and score. Make sure that you're stitching them... thoroughly, and...”
