About the final project for: Social Media Analytics for Beginners

Social Media Analytics for Beginners

“Thank you for deciding to take this course. I hope you found it interesting and that so much data did not overwhelm you. For my project, I have used the practical case of Alejandro Soriano, with which we have worked on his strategy and analysis of it on social networks to disseminate his work. As we saw in Unit 2, you will have to choose a company, a business or activity that you want to promote through social media channels. Be patient and follow all the instructions step by step, as it is a process that may seem complicated the first few times, but with practice you will master it. I'm sure of it! Next, we are going to review the key phases of the project that I want you to show by sharing it: Definition of target and channels The first step is to know the characteristics of the target we are going to address and decide in which channels we are going to develop the strategy for each one.

Establish objectives and KPIs When we defined our target, it was time to choose the objectives we wanted to achieve.
Then, we define the KPIs with which to measure the results of our actions.
Data extraction and dashboard creation This is the step you did in the first two practices of Unit 3. We entered the platforms in which we were present and extracted the data from each one to have them structured. Then, we create a dashboard and upload the extracted data. Here I share an image of the dashboard that we created, but in the additional resources of Unit 3 I leave you the file in Excel so that you can see in detail the data extracted by platforms and the dashboard that we created.
Analytics report This step is the one you did in "Practice 3.3". After viewing all the data that we have extracted and organized, we wrote a social media report, analyzing the data from the graphs on our dashboard. Again, I share here an example image, but remember that in the additional resources of Unit 3 I left you a PDF with several reports that can serve as inspiration when preparing yours.
Interpretation of results Finally, taking advantage of the conclusions we reached in the report and, after having analyzed all the data, it was time to decide what are the possible actions to take to improve the social media strategy for Alejandro's business. In Unit 4 you will be able to review how we have carried out this step. We did it! Now we just have to keep practicing to improve day by day. So far the review, now share your final project with all of us by clicking on "Create your project". Remember to share both the final result of your project and the steps that have led you to it. It would be great if you showed me a picture of each phase and added a brief explanation about what you have done in each one. Before we say goodbye, I want to invite you to actively participate in the forum, both by sharing your progress and asking questions or giving advice and trying to help the rest of the community. I am looking forward to seeing your progress! I will try to spend as much time on the forum as possible, but please be patient because there will be times when I have professional commitments and it will take a while to respond. Thank you again for the time we have spent together browsing through data. See you on the forum! ”
