About the video: Completion of portrait 1
Overview
“In the last part of this unit we find a drawing with a complete range of values and whose shapes and connections between them have already been described through the modeling technique. What I want to show you here is the final phase of finishing the drawing, which includes finishing off the reflected light in the shadows, finishing working and putting variation in the contours, and making the background more interesting, if possible. This last phase is as important as the others because it will take your drawing from being a well done and coherent drawing to a finished and aesthetically pleasing drawing. ”
In this video lesson Xavier Denia Valls addresses the topic: Completion of portrait 1, which is part of the Domestika online course: Realistic Portraits Using Charcoal. Discover the step-by-step process and the materials to draw portraits that leap out of the paper.
