“Highlights and Halftones Now, we're going to start blocking in our midtones and highlights so we can start defining our shapes better. Before I begin, I'm going to explain how we can use the egg idea to see how I can organize all my values. My idea is that the head is an egg. I'll have my shadows here. When blocking in my lights, knowing the light comes from here and is spinning, I know that much of this area is going to have a bit of white.
