“Bye now. Your canvas or your fabric should be blocked and it should be nice and square. So what I'm going to do in this lesson is I'm going to show you how to prepare your work for framing. Now this can work for canvas and it can also work for fabric. It's the same method. And it's called the lacing method. So what I've done, is I bought a frame. And my frame. has a mount on it. I quite like to use a mount for my work because it just lifts it away from the dark color of the frame. I've also cut a board. Today, Emily works on private commissions, artist collaborations, and large projects for global companies. She also designs and makes cross stitch and needlepoint kits and teaches needlework at The V&A London, The Royal School of Needlework, and on cruise ships around the world. In 2018, she was awarded Designer of the Year at the first National Needlecraft Awards.
