“Removing and blocking In the last lesson I finished my project, and now I've taken it off the frame, and because I used a frame, it's fairly square. Don't worry if you used a frame or a hoop and your work isn't square, 'cause I'll show you how to block it. Sometimes if you work with your hands and you don't use a frame, maybe your work is a little bit more distorted. So I've done another version of the final project, and that was done on a wider canvas, the seven holes per inch canvas, and I'll show you how to block a canvas that's been distorted. Today, Emily works on private commissions, artist collaborations, and large projects for global companies. She also designs and makes cross stitch and needlepoint kits and teaches needlework at The V&A London, The Royal School of Needlework, and on cruise ships around the world. In 2018, she was awarded Designer of the Year at the first National Needlecraft Awards.
