About the video: What Will We Do in This Course?

Overview

“The overall idea behind this course is to ensure each step that you take within the course is fully understood and can open you up to wider possibilities. Each project always has steps that you will find harder than others, but the idea is to build your confidence. Confidence is built by jumping in and dropping ideas you may have about your shortcomings. ”

In this video lesson Emily Peacock addresses the topic: What Will We Do in This Course?, which is part of the Domestika online course: Cross-Stitch Portrait Creation. Learn how to draw, chart, and stitch your own handcrafted portrait from scratch.

“What will we do in this course? Now I'm going to tell you about what we'll learn in the course. The idea is that at the end of this course you feel super confident and you've learned some new skills and you can take it forward to future projects. When we're at school, when we're young, we're often told we're not good at things and those ideas form blocks in our head, and we also tend to compare ourselves to other people in the class. And so we can think, "I'm not that good at drawing because I wasn't good at drawing at school", or, "I don't know how to do that. That's a bit too complicated....”
