“Creating a chart Now you should have a working drawing of your design and you know what sort of materials you want to use and what sort of threads you want to use. The best way to create a chart is to use graph paper. And the graph paper I'm using here is a 2, 10, 20 graph paper. You want a graph paper that's very clear because we'll draw around the squares. Today, Emily works on private commissions, artist collaborations, and large projects for global companies. She also designs and makes cross stitch and needlepoint kits and teaches needlework at The V&A London, The Royal School of Needlework, and on cruise ships around the world. In 2018, she was awarded Designer of the Year at the first National Needlecraft Awards.
