“Finding the line Now that you have your tracing, we're going to turn that into a design. Think of it as more of a design rather than a very accurate portrait. So what I'm going to do is I have my tracing here, and I've just put a piece of tracing paper over the top. I'll tape it down just in case it starts moving as I trace 'cause that can be really annoying, like that. Today, Emily works on private commissions, artist collaborations, and large projects for global companies. She also designs and makes cross stitch and needlepoint kits and teaches needlework at The V&A London, The Royal School of Needlework, and on cruise ships around the world. In 2018, she was awarded Designer of the Year at the first National Needlecraft Awards.
