“Lamps with Complex Volumes To apply a curve to a geometric shape, the analysis doesn't have to be so deep. In fact, I recommend that you use two lines along the edges. I'm going to do it here on a lamp. Here we can see how, by just using a double line on the edges of my volume, I can create the effect or the feeling of curve. Use the auxiliary lines of your planes to give greater continuity and to enhance the information; add more detail. Rodrigo Chávez graduated with honors and a degree in industrial design from the National Autonomous University of Mexico.
In 2005, he landed a job in one of the industry-leading office furniture companies, Grupo Di, and worked his way up to Chief Designer. He also began postgraduate studies at the Polytechnic University of Milan that same year and earned a master's degree in strategic design. In 2009, Rodrigo returned to Mexico and began collaborating with the design studio La Jabonera where he worked with major brands including Colgate, Comex, Coca-Cola, Bticino, and Landor. He currently collaborates on design projects under the brand Heres Diseño and is head of the design department at the Architecture, Art, and Design School of Monterrey.
