Technical Drawing Techniques for 3D Representation
Lamps with simple straight volumes 1
A course by Rodrigo Chávez Heres , Industrial and Strategic Designer
About the video: Lamps with simple straight volumes 1
Overview
“In this lesson you will begin to draw lamps in perspective, you will begin with simple proposals made up of simple straight volumes and you will see how from the rotation, intersection and deformation of these volumes the possibilities of generating alternatives are infinite. ”
In this video lesson Rodrigo Chávez Heres addresses the topic: Lamps with simple straight volumes 1, which is part of the Domestika online course: Technical Drawing Techniques for 3D Representation. Develop three-dimensional ideas applying principles of geometry and volumetric drawing.
Partial transcription of the video
“Lamps with simple straight volumes From now on, we will start to draw lamps. The first thing we'll do is start from a volume, which is our cube, and from there, we will build volumes that simulate lampshades, to begin with. To deform a geometry, we must first create a geometry. The easiest way to understand geometry, as we have already seen, is in the way it is viewed, where there is no deformation, where I have a reading of my object directly as it is viewed. In the object that we made in the beginning we saw that my lampshade was basically a figure similar to this, but of revolution. Here...”
