“Recommended Material Before starting to draw, I'll introduce you to the materials we'll use in the course. First, I'll show you the paper. We will use letter-size bond paper; it is very common and easy to get hold of. We will also use a size A3, a marker, and marker paper sold in notepads. Another alternative is to buy sheets of paper and to cut them to the size you want. These three sheets that I have here are transparent paper and we will use them to trace some of our drawings. Rodrigo Chávez graduated with honors and a degree in industrial design from the National Autonomous University of Mexico.
In 2005, he landed a job in one of the industry-leading office furniture companies, Grupo Di, and worked his way up to Chief Designer. He also began postgraduate studies at the Polytechnic University of Milan that same year and earned a master's degree in strategic design. In 2009, Rodrigo returned to Mexico and began collaborating with the design studio La Jabonera where he worked with major brands including Colgate, Comex, Coca-Cola, Bticino, and Landor. He currently collaborates on design projects under the brand Heres Diseño and is head of the design department at the Architecture, Art, and Design School of Monterrey.
