“Materials Now I'll show you the materials I use to make the final project. These are the materials I generally have on my desk every day when I come into the studio to work. I'll start with the sketchbooks. Usually, I start with a messy, scrappy sketchbook where the paper isn't quite as nice as in other sketchbooks. And then I move onto much nicer watercolour paper, like this sketchbook here, when I know exactly what I'm doing. I just start out with scrappy paper like this where I can make my notes and make a mess and make mistakes and not be worried at all. It's really handy to start with ...”

A course by Kevin Waldron
Kevin Waldron is a NYC-based illustrator and author who is dedicated to creating original illustrations for storybooks, animations, and other visual media. He grew up and studied in Dublin before moving to London to complete a Master’s degree at Kingston University.
His first book, Mr. Peek & the Misunderstanding at the Zoo, won the first ever Opera Prima award at the Bologna Book Fair and was recently made into an animated TV series. He has worked with several editorials including Hansol, Saatchi & Saatchi, Templar Publishing, and Penguin Books. His latest work includes t-shirt designs, temporary tattoos, and several storybooks, including a cookbook for dogs and a book that helps detect eye problems in young children.
