LinkedIn Stories Tutorial: How to Use it and Create Content

Learn the professional tips of the Linkedin Stories tool to create content, with Rodrigo Focaccio

Communications consultant and content producer Rodrigo Focaccio (@rodrigofocaccio) was a 2019 LinkedInTopVoice. He has worked for major PR and digital marketing agencies, where he learned how to solve problems quickly, how to take risks and how to produce content in the least possible time and with the lowest possible budget.

In this tutorial, Rodrigo explains how to use a very useful LinkedIn tool to highlight your profile and improve your business.

A format that encourages engagement

The language of Stories started on Snapchat and migrated to other platforms including Instagram, WhatsApp and Twitter. This tool stimulates active participation. For LinkedIn, the idea was to create a place for more relaxed, more personal content, which doesn’t quite fit on the timeline.

In addition to the above benefits, stories can be an opportunity to reach people who wouldn’t otherwise see your timeline content, which increases your network reach.

Once you’ve published your story, your connections and followers can watch and send you messages about it. You can also send private messages to your contacts’ stories.

Remember: LinkedIn is a professional network, so stories on this platform should be a little different to the stories you publish on other social networks.
