Free Tutorial: How To Draw A Teddy Bear

Discover how to draw your very own cute and cuddly teddy bear!

Remember when you were a kid and had the most perfect teddy bear? Today we want to teach you how to bring your very own to life on paper with this free tutorial! So grab your drawing materials and get ready to unleash your creativity and inner cuteness.

Step 1

The body of the teddy bear is composed of a few simple shapes.

Step 2

Add details like ears, eyes mouth and nose + a pretty bow!

Step 3

Now try to give the impression of fluffiness. Using your first sketch as a guideline, draw your line art but include nice round shapes in key places.

Follow the curve of the body to draw a few extra lines for texture (as indicated with the green arrows). Don’t forget about the paws!

Step 4

Add the base color, and continue with the rest of the elements: ears, mouth area, bow, soles of the feet.

Step 5

Introduce some shadows, and then soften them with a textured brush.

Next add some dimension with a lighter color on the top of the head and on the arms.
