The next piece to make is the hinge piece, but before we start making it, let's talk a little more in detail about exactly what's happening with the hinge piece. There are two hinge pieces on each side of the diagonal. One comes out from the center of the four quadrants and the other comes out from the corner of the four other quadrants.
