“Cutting Chamfer and Assembly In this lesson, we'll cut the chamfer from the underside of the seat and assemble the stool before levelling it. To do this, we'll use a pencil gauge, or a square with a pencil, or you can even use your fingers, referencing off the side of the borders to draw on the positions of the chamfer as described in the plans. After marking the lines for the chamfer, it's time to cut it. Now, keep your seat firmly positioned on your bench. Again, clamp down with the underside facing up now.
