“Building the Base Now that we have all of our components cut and flush trimmed to our templates, the next part of the process is cutting our joinery so that we can start gluing and attaching everything together. To do this today, we're going to be utilizing something called a dowel jig. There's a bunch of different versions that you can utilize. This is just the one we have for today. And we're using 3 1⁄8 inch thick dowels. We're also going to use a drill with a 3 1⁄8 inch drill bit and some Titebond II dark glue.
