Introduction to Japanese Sashiko Stitching

This is my first Domestika course and I am really impressed. Being a total beginner at Sashiko, this informative course has given me plenty of insights and inspiration to give it a go. It is presented in a methodical way by a very experienced and knowledgeable teacher.
I have ordered my tools and materials and am looking forward to starting my first Sashiko piece. I fully recommend this course.

This is a great course, perfect for beginners! The instructor is knowledgeable and presents the content in a well-paced and easy-to-understand manner. He gives lots of tips for success and encourages participants to fine their unique style.

I like the cultural perspectives and the philosophic trend. I wish there had been more examination of patterns. I am most interested in sashiko from a sustainability standpoint, I want to reuse and move further from a fast fashion use and replace mindset, and there is a great deal of that sustainability involved in this course.

This is an excellent course. It has very clear beginning techniques of Sashiko, which I understood so much better with Atsushi’s cultural meanings behind each part of the process. I learned the history, and cultural importance of Sashiko. I enjoyed the presentation style and all of the samples of the different types of Sashiko patterns. Somehow he made what looks too hard to learn, very achievable. I highly recommend this course!

Estoy muy feliz de que al fin haya un curso de bordado sashiko, había leído de él y visto algunos bordados, pero no encontraba dónde aprender a hacerlo.

Gostei do curso, nunca fiz sashiko. Irei treinar, estou empolgada para fazer uma peça com sashiko.
O curso além do conhecimento, trouxe toda a historia e respeito que devemos ter com a tradiçao da técnica.
