I absolutely loved the course. Especially the story behind sashiko. I am Japanese too and recently came across sashiko. This has been such a wonderful resource to understand the art of Sashiko but also my own heritage. Thank you!!

PlusThe course was very good, everything explained in little steps. What a splendid teacher! I loved the filosophy behind the sashiko. Well done!

I loved this course! Simply watching the instruction videos was like a master class in mindfulness, let alone doing the actual activities. This is such a beautiful way to stitch ❤️
I am so glad to have found this course, thank you Atsushi and Domestika so much!! 🙏

PlusIt was an absolutely fascinating and life changing course - I loved learning about sashiko - the history and what it means - I learned so much - I don't even sew that much but know I have a better knowledge and appreciation of what sashiko is and the Japanese culture. Mr. Futatsuya is so knowledgeable, wise, humble and charming. I highly recommend this. Well done Domestika. Everyone could learn something from this course.

A really amazing course, I enjoyed it a lot. I tried sashiko before, but the process was confusing. In the course the teacher explained what sashiko is about and what tools to use. After watching videos I tried it again (even created my own really cute thimble as shown in the course). Now I am hooked on stitching and I am loving it!

Great introductory course. I've previously done some sashiko on my own but it's a real privilege to be taught by someone who has come from sashiko family. Really enjoyed learning about the history/culture behind sashiko, & was so inspired seeing the garments made by Atsushi's mother as well as samples by his students. I hope there will be a follow on workshop with more advanced techniques including Kogin.

I really enjoyed Atsushi Fatatsuya’s class on Sashiko Stitchery! I loved learning the history and stories behind this ancient form of stitching ~ which is simple and made beautiful by the design/s YOU choose.
I am anxiously awaiting my kit to begin stitching.
Mr Fatasuya is clearly an expert in this craft and is a master in explaining the process. I am very happy I signed up for this short course.

This course is excellent. Such a interesting lesson on the cultural signficance and background of sashiko and boro. I am pleased to honour the process by learning it correctly and using the correct materials as well. The lessons are easy to follow and I hope he does more classes with more advanced patterns. Thoroughly recommended.

This is an excellent course. I appreciate the cultural information that makes me understand and desire to honor the Sashiko stitching. The 2 patterns are great for beginners and explained very well. Thank you for your time and information. I hope you will do some more classes.
