Introduction to Japanese Sashiko Stitching

Atsushi is not only a good instructor, with clear directions and examples, but he embodies the Japanese culture of Boro and Sashiko. He also shows so much respect. As westerners we often see just the technique. I've been on a Sashiko course before and there was no mention of the cultural aspects. I'm going to encourage them and everyone else interested in stitching to do this course.

It's a great course, and Atsushi is a great teacher. He is very clear in explaining, but most importantly, he is a sashiko maker from a family and a country where sashiko is born. Thank you so much for offering this course and giving the opportunity to learn from an authentic teacher.

Me gustó mucho este curso. La técnica es sencilla y da mucha relajacion. Es una mezcla de meditación y bordado.

I haven't gone through the whole course yet but so far I am impressed. I love how the teacher explains the history and cultural aspects of Sashiko. Also, the course offers a wealth of additional resources (in English!) which I really appreciate. I warmly recommend the course for anyone who is interested in Sashiko stitching.
