This course was/is excellent! I especially liked hearing about how to learn this type of stitching while being respectful and understanding what it means to the Japanese people. It's history and the culture around it is so important and I want to be sensitive and stitch with awareness and thought.
I enjoyed to pace of the course and the instructions are so easy to follow. Also loved learning the Japanese words for each step. Thank you for this course. One of your best ever!

PlusI highly recommend this course. It works for beginners as well as experimented embroiderer, there are always new things to learn. I much appreciated the personal stories from someone who comes from a family of full-time embroiderers, and also the teachings on the philosophy of sashiko.

Brilliant course, I love the philosophy and purpose of sashiko, it’s exactly what our society needs. To slow down its pace, to get right down to earth with being humble and appreciative of the ordinary things in life, to love things we have instead of the crazy throw away society obsessing with whatever trend is currently dictating our wardrobes. To sit down and loose ourselves in the comfort of repetition and rhythm of beautiful stitches to create something amazing with by own hands and minds.

A very informative and inspiring course from Atsushi. He explained clearly with every steps. And he really encouraged me to try to make more asonoha patterns after the practice ones. Going to apply Swatches on my damaged denim and as my final project.
