PlusI have not finished this course as yet, but I am really enjoying the immersions into the world of Sashiko. I am loving learning the history and the cultural meaning behind this skill. I am so glad I came across this course as I feel it is culturally appropriate.

I enjoyed the course—it is a great way to start stitching. The demonstrations and explanations are clear. The course is not rushed and I felt encouraged to start a project without worrying about imperfections in my technique. The instructor also provides interesting historical information about sashiko.

Great course. Enjoyed the background on Sashiko stitching and the details on how to make the stitches. The instructor did a great job in providing the basics to get started and the encouragement to try without stressing too much while stitching.

Excellent course to be introduced to the philosophy of what sashiko really is and corrects misunderstandings. The course is taught by the heir to a sashiko family business.

I thought this was an excellent introduction to Sashiko. It put Sashiko in context and explained how it came about. The information on the correct thread and tools was very helpful. Seeing the actual stitching technique made it very clear. The Sensei's manner was very approachable and quite humorous at times especially his reflections on his mother whom I am sure is a wonderful person! Well worth doing this course .

I agree with Cheryl and May cite her: IT IS a fascinating course in a craft I knew nothing about. Very detailed, step by step and with background details about the japanese culture and mindset, and the signifikant distinction between boro and sashiko. The instructor is indeed charming.

Buenas tardes..
El curso de bordado Shashiko, me está gustando mucho. Está muy bien explicado y la traducción es buena.
Todavía no he empezado el proyecto por que prefiero practicar antes hacer los dibujos y coser.
Un saludo. Ángeles

Well done, but I wouldn’t expect anything less from the Japanese. They teach impeccably. Excellent course in Sashiko.

The course was well organized and the hands on techniques shown are most helpful. Well done. Thank you.

I liked the approach of Atsushi sensei to the subject. Course is well-paced, videos are short and always on one subject, which is good, if you need to watch again or need to remind yourself only about particular technique. Thank you/ arigato gozaimasu!
