“ About Me Ahoy and hello. My name is Luděk Burian. I'm a wood carver, mainly a marionette maker, from Southern Bohemia, the Czech Republic. I am self-taught. I started carving as a hobby in 2010. I studied and worked for several years in construction, but I did not enjoy it very much. What was my hobby, eventually became my job. Now, I am devoted to artistic creations. No one in my family is into art. I'm a bit of a black sheep. My grandfathers were blacksmiths, so maybe there are some genes, I guess.
