“Style References Now that you have ideas to draw, in this lesson, I'll show you how to find style references for your lettering pieces. One of the ways I look for visual inspiration is on Pinterest. Pinterest is Google for images. It works well for me in terms of finding vintage type. I don't often use Pinterest to look for lettering as a general category, mostly because modern lettering or things that are already posted on Instagram show up and I don't want to copy, be it intentionally or unintentionally. I look for a vintage type. I'll often search for matchbooks or vintage cans or tins. ...”
