We'll start with the paper and how we fold it. Here, as you can see, I like to work with paper that has an uneven edge that has a feathered edge, a deckle edge. When I fold this paper I'm trying to get this half to be square with the other, approximately, I come down from the center and fold out to the sides from the center. It's quite simple. Her work has received awards in Spain and other EU countries. Since 2006, she has been teaching her craft alongside Guadalupe Roldán at the studio she founded: Códex. Their studio has become an international reference in artistic bookbinding and is a space for exchanging ideas and knowledge where many bookbinders and artists from different nationalities have honed their skills and explored their creative potential.
