“Ears In this lesson, we're going to be drawing the ears and looking at the lovely shapes that make up the ears. Again, looking at darks and lights and how these translate and create form. Also, I want to look at softening pencil drawings using a brush or maybe a cotton bud. Particularly with my reference, if we look closely, the depth of field in this photo means that the ears are blending out slightly. They're very soft focus, and it's something that I do with my portraits a lot. I want the focus to be on the eyes, and I become less concerned about things like clothing and maybe even hair ...”
