“Creating a Grid and Outline In this lesson, we'll draw our grid onto our paper, consider the size of our grid with the size of our paper, then we're going to transfer our reference image over onto the paper so that we have a line drawing, essentially a template to start our drawing with. I have this clever right-angle ruler, which is really helpful, but not essential. I'll start drawing the grid. My grid has 20 squares up and 13 and a portion across the bottom, so I'm going to call this 14 and it just gives me more space on this side of the drawing, which is fine.
