“Eyes Now, we are going to take the template that we've created for our portrait and build on it. We're going to start feature by feature. This lesson, we're starting with the eyes. We have this flat, proportionally-correct template for us to start working on. Now is the time for us to forget about the grid and start to free up a little, get a little bit more creative and begin to add the contours onto this flat map, and try and create something that's convincing in 3D. Shortly after deciding to pursue his dream of becoming a portrait artist, Alan Coulson was awarded a BP Portrait Award from The National Portrait Gallery in London.
