“Approaching Your Photo In this lesson, we're going to look at using the grid method as a means of transferring your photo onto paper. We're attempting to make a realistic drawing and I feel like the grid method is a great way of breaking down your photo reference into manageable parts. There are many ways to do this. You can freehand, by all means, and if you're comfortable and confident enough in your drawing skills. I really like the grid method for a number of reasons.
