“How to Create Form In this lesson, we're going to look at how to create form using our pencils, a convincing 3D shape, looking at darks, midtones and lights. I'll make a study of an ear. Ears are an interesting shape. There's a real contrast between the dark areas and where the light catches certain areas of ear. It's also great for making a quick study as we don't have to worry too much about getting it exactly right. No ear is the same. No one will look at your picture and think it's not right.
