“Saturation In this lesson, we’ll look at saturation. Saturation is when a color looks solid and uniform. To get that effect, we have to get good coverage when injecting the ink into the skin. There are lots of ways to do that. I can do it with circular motions, zigzags, or with sweeps. All of that will depend on what feels comfortable when I’m filling in that piece of the tattoo. I’ll identify the parts of my tattoo that have the purest colors. I’ll remember to always start with the darker colors and then the lighter ones.
