“Black Shading Now we’ll look at adding in our black shading. This will give our image sharpness, weight, and volume. It’s very important to define it first so we can identify the darkest areas of the design we’re tattooing. To do that, we’ll find its scale of values from zero to ten, identifying the tones eight, nine, and ten which we’ll use for our black shading.
