Before anything, I strongly suggest checking the units you will be working with inside 3ds Max. In our studio, most of the time, we work with centimeters as a default. If a project is larger in scale, we shift to meters. When you import the line drawing from AutoCAD to 3ds Max, it is always a good thing to have working units match, like we have in our case.
