“Dark and shadows To start with our background, I'm going to mix up some black paint with solvent, so I've got a lot of paint to work with. Got a big background to cover. For this process I'm going to use a couple of brushes. I'll be using this flat brush for filling in larger areas of the background, and I'll be using a finer brush to justifying the edges of the painting, the edges of the face, the hairline and to mark my way around the ears. So, I'm going to mix up... some solvent with this black paint. It doesn't have to be super fluid, but I want it to flow a little easier than straight ...”
